Beesu Kamsale
This is an ancient group dance performed by the menfolk in Mysore, Nanjanagudu, Kollegala and Bangalore. It is named after the Kamsale used both as an instrument and as a prop by the performers. The kamsale involves a cymbal in one hand and a bronze plate in the other to create a cadenced bang. The dance is performed by the devotees of Mahadeshwara. The group size is usually around three to eight.
